Glass Mask is the story of Maya, a young actress and how she struggles to become a famous star. She seems like an average poor girl with big dreams but is in fact extremely talented and dedicated when it comes to acting.

I specially love the male love interest. Masumi is a powerful man who interacts with the heroine in two ways: as the mystery man who supports her career in secret, hiding his identity from her and also as a powerful producter who she believes is manipulating her to benefit from her career. He's a man she hates, loves and respects at the same time.

I couldn't help but compare the story with Candy and her protector, William. Actually they are both rich men who support the women they love and have to go through the pain of watching the heroine fall in love with other love interests while hiding their own feelings. *sigh* I love their angst!

In celebration of my surprised encounter with this story, I decided to make a quick drawing of the pairs. I'm glad to know my tablet is still working.

I can't wait to put my hands in the manga. Specially now that I have found out that it's the second best selling manga of all times.
